What is Flash Seats?

Flash Seats is an ID-based, digital ticketing system that allows you to enter an event with any form of convenient digital ID, such as a credit card or a Mobile ID through the Flash Seats mobile app. This concept, similar to the e-ticket in the airline industry, allows you to manage your tickets via the Internet. It also gives you the ability to sell, buy and transfer seats through a marketplace endorsed by T-Mobile Arena.

How do I become a Flash Seats account holder?

Simply go to the Flash Seats web site at http://t-mobilearena.flashseats.com and click Register at the top of the page. You will be asked to enter some basic account information, followed by your credit card information. YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED. Your credit card information is simply a unique identifier. After completing the account information, you may buy, sell or manage any seats in your account.

You can also register using the Flash Seats mobile app. The Flash Seats mobile app is compatible with iOS 6.1 or later for iPhone and iPod Touch and with Android 2.3 or later for the Android devices.

Why is digital ticketing better?

What type of card can I use?

You can enter events you have tickets to with any valid credit/debit card or a driver's license that you've added to your account. If you purchased tickets directly from T-Mobile Arena, you can also enter events with the card you used for the purchase. Alternatively, you can enter events with a Mobile ID through the Flash Seats mobile app.

The Flash Seats mobile app is compatible with iOS 6.1 or later for iPhone and iPod Touch and with Android 2.3 or later for the Android devices.

How can I be sure my credit card will not be charged?

Your credit card WILL NOT BE CHARGED unless you are purchasing tickets on Flash Seats. It is only used to identify you as the owner of tickets when you enter events.

How do I add a card to my account?

You can add a credit/debit card to your account in order to enter events. Log in to the site, click Account, and then click Identification.

How many cards can I add to my account?

You may add as many cards as you like to your account, as long as they are valid.

Entering the Venue

How do I get into the arena?

Flash Seats eliminates paper tickets! With Flash Seats, your ID is what gets you into the arena. Instead of a paper ticket, you can enter with the Flash Seats mobile app on your phone or choose any convenient form of digital ID (credit card or driver's license) as your method of getting in to the arena. Your card or mobile device will be scanned by a Guest Services Representative using a handheld device. You will receive a Seat Locator identifying your seats. It's really fast! Remember that the Seat Locator is not a ticket and only shows the location of your seats in the arena. Once you receive your Seat Locator, you cannot walk away from the gate; a Seat Locator cannot be used for re-entry into the arena.

Where can I enter the arena using Flash Seats?

You can enter at any of the main gates.

If I forget my identification, can I still get into the event?

If you arrive without your registered identification, just go to the T-Mobile Arena Box Office. You will need to provide some form of ID and verification information previously entered in your account profile.

Don't forget you can enter events with the Flash Seats mobile app on your phone. Just download the app to your phone, log into your Flash Seats account and show your Mobile ID to the gate attendant who will scan it for entry. What if I don't have a digital ID on my account at the time of the event?

If you arrive without your credit card or driver's license, just go to the T-Mobile Arena Box Office for assistance. You will need to provide some form of ID and verification information previously entered in your account profile.

If you have an iPhone or an Android phone, you can enter the event with the Flash Seats mobile app on your phone. Download the app to your phone, log into your Flash Seats account and show your Mobile ID to the gate attendant who will scan it for entry.

How can I be sure my tickets are good?

Flash Seats is the T-Mobile Arena Official Ticket Marketplace. If seats are listed in your Flash Seats account and you have at least one form of valid ID associated with your account, such as a credit card or a Mobile ID through the Flash Seats mobile app on your phone, you have everything you need to go to the event. On event day, just scan or swipe your ID at the gate and then enter the arena. With ID-based ticketing, you never have to worry about lost, stolen, or counterfeit tickets.

What if my guests arrive at different times?

Most people find it best to TRANSFER the seats to their guests prior to the event. This way your guests will be able to enter whenever they arrive using their own ID.

What if my credit card is lost or stolen?

If your credit card is lost or stolen and then replaced by your credit card company before the event, you can register the new card on Flash Seats and remove your old card. If you do not have your credit card upon arriving at the event, you will need to go to the T-Mobile Arena Box Office for assistance.

If my access is digital, how will the usher know where to seat me?

Once you arrive at the gate and scan your Mobile ID or swipe your credit card or driver's license, a Seat Locator will be printed with your seat location on it. Just take the Seat Locator to the ushers and they will be able to seat you accordingly. Remember that the Seat Locator is not a ticket and only shows the location of your seats in the arena. Once you receive your Seat Locator, you cannot walk away from the gate; a Seat Locator cannot be used for re-entry. With Flash Seats, your ID is what gets you into the arena.

What happens if my credit card doesn’t work at the gate?

You will be instructed to go to the T-Mobile Arena Box Office, where your account information will be verified. After confirming that there are seats for that particular event on your account, present your Seat Locator to the ushers and they will be able to seat you accordingly.

You can also enter events with the Flash Seats mobile app on your phone. Just Download the app to your phone, log into your Flash Seats account and show your Mobile ID to the gate attendant who will scan it for entry. Does each person need their own ID?

No, each person does not have to have their own ID. You can swipe or scan in your entire party with a single swipe of any ID associated with the account. The Guest Services Representative will ask how many people are with you when you swipe or scan your card. If you have guests that will arrive separately from you, you can transfer them each a ticket. This allows them to create their own Flash Seats account and enter with their own ID when they arrive.

For Buyers

How do I buy seats?

It's easy to buy great seats to T-Mobile Arena events online on Flash Seats. Simply:

  • Log in to your Flash Seats account online
  • Click Buy at the top of the page. All available events are shown on the List of Eventspage.
  • Choose the event you want to buy, locate the best seats for you, and place a bid or click theBuy Now button.

To buy great seats to T-Mobile Arena events on the Flash Seats mobile app, simply:

  • Log in to your Flash Seats account through the Flash Seats mobile app.
  • Touch Buy at the tab bar. All events are listed in the Sports section.
  • Choose the event you want to buy, locate the best seats for you, and touch the Confirm Payment button.

Is there a fee charged for buying seats on Flash Seats system?

You may be charged a fee based on the purchase price when you buy T-Mobile Arena tickets. This fee may vary by event.

Where do seats that are available come from?

Flash Seats is the only place you can get access to event seats on an individual basis and be sure that you are purchasing valid, authentic seats to the event on a marketplace backed by T-Mobile Arena. Seats posted for sale come from people who have received or purchased Flash Seats tickets and are unable to use them.

Can I cancel or get a refund for a purchase?

No, you cannot cancel any transaction once it has been completed. There are no refunds unless an event is cancelled and not rescheduled. In the case of a weather-related cancellation, face value, which might not be the actual amount paid for the seats, will be refunded to the owner of the seat (the person who currently has possession of the seats).

How do I get my seats?

Flash Seats can be sent to anyone with Internet access. Seats are delivered immediately via email. That means no shipping fees. In fact, no shipping at all. Seats are transferred instantly - no waiting, no mailing, no insured deliveries.

Will I have to deal with the seller directly?

No. In Flash Seats, both buyers and sellers are anonymous. Once a sale is made, the seats are transferred directly into the buyer's account and the payment is deposited directly into the seller's account. 

How quickly will I receive my seats?

Your seats are deposited into your account as soon as the transaction is complete!

Does Flash Seats work like other online auction sites?

No. Flash Seats is a marketplace, not an auction. The most important differences between a market and an auction are:

  • A seller can accept ANY BID at ANY TIME up until the bid expires or is retracted (i.e., sellers can sell now)
  • A buyer can accept ANY OFFER at ANY TIME until the offer expires or is retracted (i.e., buyers can buy now)
  • A bid might still be ACCEPTED AFTER A HIGHER COMPETITIVE BID is placed (e.g., in the case where the higher bid expires). When any of these things happens, the transaction is completed instantly, obligating both parties.

Here are a few other things to keep in mind when bidding on tickets:

  • When you place a bid on a market, you set an expiration time.
  • Your bid can only be accepted by a seller until your bid expires. Your bid is an obligation to buy the item at the bid price if the seller accepts it before the bid expires.
  • If a higher competitive bid is placed, it does not change the fact that your bid is an obligation to purchase if the seller accepts it. The higher competitive bid may expire or be retracted before yours. This means that just because a higher competitive bid has been placed, your bid is not out of consideration. A seller can accept ANY bid at ANY time, regardless of whether the bid is the highest or lowest.

How long is my bid valid?

When you place a bid, you can set an expiration time. Sellers have until the expiration time to accept your bid.

Important! When setting the expiration time for your bid, consider by what day and time you need to know if your bid is accepted. Because sellers can set their listings to expire at any time, even right before the event, and because they can accept any bid they choose, even if it's not the highest, your bid could be accepted at a time that is very close to the start of the event, depending on when you set your bid to expire. Once your bid is accepted by a seller, you are obligated to pay the bid price you agreed to, regardless of when your bid is accepted. To ensure that you are notified in enough time to attend the event, set a bid expiration that makes sense for you. In addition, if you have placed a bid on an event, be sure to check your email frequently because you will be notified via email if your bid is accepted.

You can choose one of the following expiration times for your bid:

  • One Day From Now
  • Two Days From Now
  • Three Days From Now
  • One Week From Now
  • One Day Before Offer Expiration
  • One Hour Before Offer Expiration
  • Two Hours Before Offer Expiration
  • Three Hours Before Offer Expiration
  • Custom: you choose the date and time your bid expires
  • Expires at Offer Expiration: the bid is valid until the listing expires

How long can I accept a bid for my listing?

You can accept a bid up until it expires. When bidders place bids, they have the option to set one of the following expiration times:

  • One Day From Now
  • Two Days From Now
  • Three Days From Now
  • One Week From Now
  • One Day Before Offer Expiration
  • One Hour Before Offer Expiration
  • Two Hours Before Offer Expiration
  • Three Hours Before Offer Expiration
  • Custom: bidders can choose the date and time their bid expires
  • Expires at Offer Expiration: the bid is valid until the listing expires (based on the expiration time you chose when you listed your tickets for sale). As long as the bid hasn't expired, you can accept it; once it has expired, you can no longer accept it.

You can view the expiration dates for bids on your listing by doing the following:

  • Click Listings, and then find the listing for which you want to view the expiration times for bids.
  • In the Event Information column, click the linked event name. The Event Information page appears.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page, where you can view all the bids for your listings. In the Bid Expires In column, you can view in how many hours and minutes the bid will expire.

If I have the highest bid, do I automatically get the tickets?

No. Flash Seats is a marketplace, not an auction, so a seller can accept ANY bid at ANY time, regardless of whether the bid is the highest or lowest. The most important differences between a market and an auction are:

  • A seller can accept ANY BID at ANY TIME up until the bid expires or is retracted (i.e., sellers can sell now)
  • A buyer can accept ANY OFFER at ANY TIME until the offer expires or is retracted (i.e., buyers can buy now)
  • A bid might still be ACCEPTED AFTER A HIGHER COMPETITIVE BID is placed. (e.g., in the case where the higher bid expires.) When any of these things happens, the transaction is completed instantly, obligating both parties.

Here are a few other things to keep in mind when bidding on tickets:

Where can I see my bids when I log into the Flash Seats site?

If you have placed bids on tickets and want to view them, do the following:

  • Click Bids. All your active bids appear. You can filter the list of your bids by using the Showdrop-down at the top of the page.

If you have an active listing and you want to view the bids that have been placed on it, do the following:

  • Click Listings, and then find the listing for which you want to view the expiration times for bids.
  • In the Event Information column, click the linked event name. The Event Information page appears.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page, where you can view all the bids for your listing.

How and when will I be notified if my bid is accepted?

As soon as a seller accepts your bid, which they can do at any time, as long as your bid is still valid based on the expiration time you set, you will be notified instantly via email that your bid was accepted. We strongly recommend that you also log into your account and check the status of your bid periodically to ensure you have the latest information on your bid. Once your bid is accepted by a seller, you are obligated to pay the bid price you agreed to, regardless of when your bid is accepted.

Where can I see if other people bid on the same tickets I did?

To view all active bids for a listing that you bid on:

  • Click Bids. All your active bids appear.
  • In the Event Information column, click the linked event name. The Event Information page appears.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page, where you can see all active bids on those tickets.

Important! Even if your bid is the highest, it does not mean that you will automatically get the tickets. Because Flash Seats is a marketplace, not an auction, a seller can accept ANY bid at ANY time, regardless of whether the bid is the highest or lowest.

Do I need to enter my credit card information in order to place a bid on tickets?

Yes. Once a seller accepts a bid you have placed, the tickets are automatically and instantly sold to you through the Flash Seats system. When this happens, you are immediately obligated to pay the bid price you agreed to, which is why your credit card information needs to be entered into the system in order to place a bid.

Once my bid is accepted, do I have to buy the tickets?

Yes. Once a seller accepts a bid you have placed, the tickets are automatically and instantly sold to you through the Flash Seats system, and you are immediately obligated to pay the bid price you agreed to, regardless of when your bid is accepted. Because you are immediately obligated, you should set an expiration time for your bid that gives you enough notice when your bid is accepted.

Do I have to bid on tickets or can I just buy them?

In Flash Seats, you have the option to bid on tickets or buy them now. If you bid on tickets, the seller must accept your bid in order for you to gain ownership of the tickets. Because a seller can accept ANY bid at ANY time, regardless of whether the bid is the highest or lowest, you may decide to simply buy tickets now. This feature allows you to instantly buy tickets, without waiting for the seller to accept your bid, ensuring you will get tickets to the event of your choice.

If I list tickets for sale, do they automatically go to the highest bidder?

No. You can accept ANY bid at ANY time, but in order to sell your tickets to a bidder, you MUST accept his or her bid. If you do not accept a bid and your listing expires, you are still the owner of the tickets.

I want tickets for a specific event, so I placed bids on different tickets. How can I make sure that I don't get more tickets than I need?

Because Flash Seats is a marketplace, not an auction, a seller can accept ANY bid at ANY time. In order to be sure you get the tickets you want for a specific event, we recommend using the Buy Now feature. This feature allows you to instantly buy tickets and have them put into your Flash Seats account, ensuring you will be able to go to the event of your choice.

If you would still like to bid on tickets instead of buying them now, you should use the BidSafe™ feature. When this feature is turned on, you can bid on different sets of tickets for the same event knowing that only one of your bids can be accepted. All your other bids for the event will be automatically retracted when any of your bids is accepted and your payment is processed. To modify your BidSafe™ setting, click Account, and then click Options, where you can turn BidSafe™ on or off.

Can bidders buy tickets that I listed if I don't accept their bid?

Yes. As soon as you list your tickets for sale, bidders have the option to purchase them for your ask price using the Buy Now feature. With this feature, the tickets are instantly purchased and placed in their Flash Seats account, requiring no action from you.

I want to contact the seller to make sure I get the tickets I want. How can I do that?

In Flash Seats, buyers and sellers are anonymous, so you can't contact the seller. If you want to be sure you get tickets to a specific event, we recommend using the Buy Now feature. With this feature, the tickets are instantly purchased and placed in your Flash Seats account, ensuring you can attend the event of your choice.

For Sellers

Why should I sell my seats on Flash Seats?

Flash Seats is the best place to sell your seats because it is a marketplace endorsed by the venue. Business is driven to the web site from T-Mobile Arena, making it the perfect market for finding a buyer that is interested in T-Mobile Arena events.

How do I place seats for sale?

It's easy to list your seats for sale online on Flash Seats:

  • Log in to your Flash Seats account online
  • Click Tickets at the top of the page. Your available events appear.
  • Choose the event you want to sell and click the Sell button.
  • On the Event Information page, choose your selling options and enter your asking price.Preview Your Offer to make sure all the information is correct.
  • Once you Confirm the listing, your seats will be available to anyone who wants to place a bid/buy them.

To list your seats for sale on your Flash Seats mobile app:

  • Log in to your Flash Seats account through the Flash Seats mobile app.
  • Touch Account at the tab bar. Then go to the My Tickets screen to view your available events.
  • Touch the Sell icon against the ticket you want to sell.
  • In the Sell Tickets screen, choose your selling options and enter your asking price. TouchPreview Sell to make sure all the information is correct.
  • Touch Confirm Sell. The tickets appear in the Active Listings screen; your seats will be available to anyone who wants to buy them.

Is there a fee to sell seats on Flash Seats system?

You may be charged a fee based on the sale price when you sell T-Mobile Arena event tickets. This fee may vary by event.

Which seats can I sell?

You can sell any seats in your Flash Seats account that are enabled for resale. Tickets that are enabled for resale have a Sell button that appears next to them on the Tickets tab. The ability to sell tickets is determined by the promoter or team sponsoring an event. When choosing which seats to list for sale, you will be required to choose seats that are next to each other. This ensures that buyers will always have seats that are next to each other when buying more than one seat.

If you want to sell seats that are not next to each other, you must list each group of seats in a separate listing.

Will I have to deal with the buyer directly?

No. In Flash Seats, both buyers and sellers are anonymous. Once a sale is made, the seats are transferred directly into the buyer's account and the payment is deposited directly into the seller's account.

When does a listing expire?

When listing seats for sale, sellers choose how long the listing will be available to buyers. The options available vary depending on the current time and when the event starts. Generally the seller can set the expiration to any of the following:

  • One day from now
  • Two days from now
  • Three days from now
  • One week from now
  • One day before event
  • One hour before event
  • At event start time
  • One hour after event start time
  • Custom (a date and time that you specify)

Note: Regardless of when the sellers set the expiration for their listing, they can retract their listing at any time. Setting the expiration is merely a convenience to the seller.

Please keep in mind when using Flash Seats that it is a marketplace, not an auction. The most important differences between a market and an auction are:

  • A seller can accept ANY BID at ANY TIME up until the bid expires or is retracted (i.e., sellers can "sell now")
  • A buyer can accept ANY OFFER at ANY TIME (with Buy Now) until the offer expires or is retracted (i.e., buyers can "buy now")
  • A bid might still be ACCEPTED AFTER A HIGHER COMPETITIVE BID is placed (e.g., in the case where the higher bid expires.)

Can I retract my listing?

Yes, you can retract your listing at any time. To remove a listing for sale:

  • Log in to your Flash Seats account online, and click Listings.
  • Choose the listing you want to retract and click the Retract button. The Event Informationpage will display the details of your listing.
  • If you are sure you want to retract your listing, click the Yes, Retract Now button. A page confirming the retraction appears.

To retract your listing at any time on your Flash Seats mobile app:

  • Log in to your Flash Seats account through the Flash Seats mobile app, and touch Account on the tab bar.
  • Touch Active Listings and choose the listing you want to retract and touch the Retractbutton.
  • If you are sure you want to retract your listing, confirm to remove the listing from sale.

How and when am I paid if my seats are sold?

The transaction happens immediately. The money from the buyer will be transferred into your Flash Seats account upon the selling of the seats. Once the funds have been placed in your account, you have three options:

  • You can leave the funds in your account to use for future marketplace purchases.
  • You can transfer the funds to a checking or savings account via an EFT.
  • If you are a season ticket holder, you can transfer the funds to a season ticket renewal account.

How do I set up EFT?

To set up an EFT, log in to your account:

  • Click the Account tab and then Financial Accounts.
  • Click the EFT button next to your account balance and follow the prompts to set up a checking or savings account to which you can transfer your account balance.

Can I convert all my paper tickets to Flash Seats?

If your venue supports paper conversion, you can convert all your paper tickets. You need your paper tickets in hand to perform the conversion because you are required to enter barcodes from the ticket. To check if your venue supports conversion of paper tickets to Flash Seats:

  • Log in to your Flash Seats account.
  • Click Sell or Transfer at the top of the page.
  • Just above the Your Tickets section, click list of events to check to see if your venue supports the conversion of paper tickets to Flash Seats.
  • Then click Convert Paper Tickets to Flash Seats to proceed with the conversion.

You should be aware of the following before you convert:

  • Once you convert your paper tickets, your paper tickets are void and no longer usable.
  • The tickets you convert will only be available in Flash Seats.
  • Any stored cash value associated with paper tickets is carried over to Flash Seats.
  • Your Flash Seats tickets are associated with a registered digital ID, such as a credit card or a Mobile ID through the Flash Seats mobile app, which will get you into your event. Be sure to add a registered ID to make sure you can enter your events with no problems.

Does Flash Seats give me a way to promote tickets I'm selling?

Yes. Flash Seats allows you to create promotional links to the tickets you're selling on the marketplace. You can post these links on sites like Facebook or Twitter or email them to friends and family to drive people to your ticket listings. After you list your tickets for sale, you'll have the option to create promotional links from the ticket listing confirmation page. Simply click the logo for the site on which you want to post a link to your tickets, and follow our easy-to-use interface to post your links.

Transferring

How do I transfer seats?

To transfer seats:

  • Log in to your Flash Seats account online, and click Tickets.
  • Find the tickets you want to transfer.
  • In the Action column, click the Transfer button. A page appears showing the details of the event.
  • In the Which tickets do you want to transfer section, click each of the tickets you want to transfer.If you want to transfer all your tickets, click the select all link.
  • In the To whom do you want to transfer these tickets section, enter the following information for the person you want to send the tickets to:
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Email
    • Re-enter Email
    • Message to Recipient
    • Recipient's Phone Number
  • After you enter the necessary information, click the Preview "Flash Transfer" button. A page appears, summarizing the details of the event and to whom you're transferring the tickets.
  • Click the Confirm Transfer button. A page appears, telling you the tickets have been transferred.

To transfer seats on your Flash Seats mobile app:

  • Log in to your Flash Seats account through the Flash Seats mobile app.
  • Touch Account at the tab bar and then touch My Tickets. Find the tickets you want to transfer.
  • Select each of the tickets you want to transfer by touching the seat numbers.
  • In the Transfer To section, select the person to transfer the tickets through one of the following options:
    • Touch Recent Transfers to view and select persons who recently received transfers, if any.
    • Touch My contacts drop-down to select persons from the phone contact list. These contacts are not necessarily existing Flash Seats accounts.
    • Enter the person's information you want to send the tickets to; first name, last name, email and message.
  • After you enter the necessary information, touch Preview Transfer. A page appears, summarizing the details of the event and to whom you're transferring the tickets.
  • Touch the Confirm Transfer button. The transferred tickets now appear in the Pending Transfer screen.

Is there a fee for transferring my seats?

You may be charged a fee to transfer event tickets. This fee may vary by event.

How will I know when I have been transferred seats?

You will receive an email with the event details. Follow the instructions in the email to create an account or login to your existing account on the Flash Seats site.

Once I have a Flash Seats account, do I have to accept the transfer every time?

No. Once you have an account set up, you do not have to visit your account every time you are transferred seats. The seats will be automatically associated with your account. Be sure before you head to the event, though, that you have a credit card listed on the account.

Can seats be transferred to a person even if they don't have a Flash Seats account?

Yes, but they must create an account to access to their seats. If a credit card is not entered into the system, they will need to go to the Flash Seats gates for assistance.

Can I cancel a transfer?

It depends on whether the people you're transferring to already have a Flash Seats account. If they already have an account, the seats are transferred instantaneously to their account, so you cannot cancel a transfer once you've initiated it. If the people you're transferring to do not have a Flash Seats account and do not pick up the tickets you've transferred, you can cancel a transfer.

How many transfers am I allowed?

You are allowed unlimited transfers of T-Mobile Arena event tickets.

If seats are transferred to me, how will I know where they are?

Once you arrive at the gate and scan your Mobile ID or swipe your credit card, a Seat Locator will be printed with your seat location on it. Take this Seat Locator to the usher and they will be able to seat.
